Proof-of-Stake (PoS)

Proof of Stake is a consensus mechanism where validators are chosen to create new blocks based on the amount of cryptocurrency they hold and put as collateral.

It’s like having a say in a club because you own a bigger stake in it.

It’s the mechanism used by the Ethereum blockchain, being less energy-consuming than the Proof of Work mechanism.
